  • Sliced Carrots
  • Sliced Celery Stalks

Seasonings:

  • Goya Adobo All Purpose Seasoning
  • McCormick Garlic Powder
  • Mrs. Dash Table Blend
  • McCormick Ground Black Pepper
  • Goya Salad & Vegetable Seasoning

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 Stick of Butter
  • 6 Clean Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs
  • 8 Cups of Chicken Broth
  • 1 Cup of Jasmine Rice
  • Parsley

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Pot:

    • Put your pot on medium-low heat and add one stick of butter.
    • Thought: The butter will melt and create a rich base for the dish.
  2. Season the Butter:

    • While butter is melting, season with the following: Goya Adobo, Mrs. Dash, McCormick Ground Black Pepper, McCormick Garlic Powder.
    • Idea: Seasoning the butter ensures that the flavors are incorporated right from the start.
  3. Add Veggies:

    • Stir the seasonings into the butter sauce, then add diced onions, red and green bell peppers, sliced carrots, and sliced celery stalks. Sauté.
    • Note: Sautéing the vegetables helps to release their natural flavors and sweetness.
  4. Season the Chicken:

    • Add clean chicken thighs to a bowl and season with the same seasonings used for the butter.
    • Thought: Allowing the chicken to marinate ensures that it absorbs all the seasoning flavors.
  5. Add Broth:

    • Add all 8 cups of chicken broth into the seasoned vegetable slurry.
    • Stir and cover the pot with a lid.
    • Note: The chicken broth will act as the main liquid base for the dish.
  6. Flour Paste:

    • Mix one cup of water with two tablespoons of flour in a small bowl and stir for 2-3 minutes until it turns into a slim thick paste.
    • Explanation: The flour paste helps thicken the soup, giving it a creamy texture.
  7. Cook Chicken Thighs:

    • Remove the lid, add chicken thighs, and increase the heat to high to bring the soup to a boil.
    • Idea: Boiling the chicken ensures that it's cooked thoroughly and quickly.
  8. Simmering:

    • Once boiling, reduce the heat to simmer.
    • Note: Simmering allows the flavors to meld together gently without overcooking the chicken.
  9. Add Flour Paste and Re-season:

    • Add the flour paste to the simmering soup and re-season with McCormick Garlic Powder, McCormick Ground Black Pepper, Mrs. Dash Table Blend.
    • Thought: Re-seasoning ensures that the final dish has a balanced and enhanced flavor.
  10. Continued Simmering:

    • Reduce the heat to low and continue simmering for 25-30 minutes.
    • Note: Extended simmering time allows for the chicken to become tender and the flavors to fully develop.
  11. Final Touches:

    • Add in parsley, serve with rice, and enjoy.
    • Idea: Parsley adds a fresh, herbal note to the final dish and rice provides a hearty base.
