Google account data

Pixno, formerly Photes.io, operates at photes.io. The following explains how we handle data for Google sign-in and optional Google Docs or Slides exports.
Signing in with Google
When you choose Google sign-in, we use Supabase to authenticate your account. We receive your Google account identifier, email address, name and profile picture where available, and store profile information with your Pixno account to identify you and display your profile.
Exporting to Google Docs or Slides
Exporting is a separate action that requires your Google authorization. We request access to specific files through the drive.file permission. Your selected notes, titles, image references and Google access token are sent to our conversion service hosted on Zeabur, which converts the content and creates a file in your Google Drive. This export step does not send the content to a generative AI model.
Temporary files and backups
Document conversion creates temporary files on the server. Backups of server logs and temporary files are retained for 30 days. This backup retention period does not determine how long your saved Pixno notes or files exported to Google Drive remain available.
Revoking access and deleting data
You can revoke Pixno's access through your Google Account's third-party connections settings. To request deletion of your Pixno account data, use the account deletion option in Pixno or contact support@photes.io. Revoking Google access does not automatically delete data already stored in Pixno. Files exported to Google Drive remain under your control and can be deleted there.
